Canton Fair: the 140th autumn edition runs from 15 October to 4 November 2026
The 140th session of the Canton Fair takes place at Pazhou, Guangzhou, in three five-day phases separated by three-day breaks: electronics and machinery from 15 to 19 October, home and building from 23 to 27, and fashion and consumer goods from 31 October to 4 November 2026. It is the largest event for buying directly from Chinese factories.

Phase 1, from 15 to 19 October 2026, brings together electronics, machinery, vehicles, electrical equipment, hardware and tools. After a break from 20 to 22 October, phase 2, from 23 to 27 October, covers household goods, gifts, furniture, building materials and decoration. Phase 3, from 31 October to 4 November after a further break from 28 to 30 October, covers fashion, textiles, toys, health, food, personal care and pet products.
All three phases are held at the Pazhou exhibition complex, 382 Yuejiang Zhong Road, in the Haizhu district of Guangzhou, organised by the China Foreign Trade Centre. The halls open from 9.30am to 6pm on each exhibition day.
The Canton Fair remains China's largest general trade fair for meeting factories directly, comparing entire product ranges within a few days, and approving samples before starting production. International buyers must register in advance to obtain their badge.
As the dates of the three phases have been set for several months by the China Foreign Trade Centre, only a subsequent official announcement could change them; none has been published to date.

China: Golden Week closes factories and ports from 1 to 7 October, delays continue
China's national holiday closed most factories, ports and customs offices from 1 to 7 October 2026, with working days moved to 20 September and 10 October to compensate. The official return is from 8 October, but a normal logistics pace takes a further two to four weeks to resume.

China, United States: tariff truce extended until 10 January 2027
