Turkey: five-year anti-dumping duties on Chinese aluminium frames for solar panels
On 24 June 2026, the Turkish Ministry of Trade published its final decision in the Official Gazette (Notice 2026/23), imposing anti-dumping duties for five years on aluminium frames for photovoltaic panels imported from China. A week earlier, on 19 June 2026, Ankara had also opened a separate investigation into solar glass imported from China, Malaysia and Vietnam.

The investigation into aluminium frames for solar panels had been opened in May 2025 and covered import data from late 2023 to late 2024. Provisional duties, ranging from 14.79% to 31.40% of the CIF value depending on the supplier, had been set in December 2025. The final decision of 24 June 2026 confirms anti-dumping duties calculated on a CIF basis for a period of five years from the date of publication.
On 19 June 2026, a second notice (2026/10) opened a separate anti-dumping investigation into solar glass used in the manufacture of photovoltaic panels, this time targeting China, Malaysia and Vietnam. The investigation covers the period from October 2024 to September 2025 for dumping and the impact on Turkish industry since January 2022; parties had 37 days from publication to respond to the questionnaires.
These two decisions add to a series of Turkish trade defence measures taken in 2026 against Chinese products, including the ending, on 1 February 2026, of the accelerated customs regime for small e-commerce parcels, and the WTO's July 2026 ruling that the 40% tariff on Chinese vehicles is illegal, a tariff still applied to this day.
This affects Turkish importers of aluminium frames for solar panels made in China, who now need to factor this anti-dumping duty into their purchase cost, as well as importers of Chinese, Malaysian or Vietnamese solar glass, who will need to follow the outcome of the investigation opened in June 2026.
Kinachobadilika kwa muagizaji
For a Sorva client importing solar panel components made in China into Turkey, the cost of aluminium frames now includes this anti-dumping duty for five years, and solar glass could be subject to a comparable measure if the investigation opened in June 2026 leads to definitive duties. Sorva can check the real origin of components with partner factories in China and verify document compliance before loading, a sensitive point when rates vary widely from one supplier to another.
