You do not pay for our time.

  • We take a commission of 6 to 12% on the ex-works value of what we have negotiated for you, and nothing else: no service fees, no retainer, no margin on the factory price.
  • To start, you pay the file opening fee online; it covers the first stretch of work and comes off your first commission.
What the opening fee pays for
  • A written scope of your requirement: product, quantities, constraints, target price.
  • A first list of candidate factories, with their ex-works price range.
  • The first round of negotiation, opened with those factories.
  • A meeting to settle the next step with you.
Included
  • Negotiation of prices and terms with the factories kept in.
  • Samples requested from the factories, ordered and consolidated.
  • The order placed in your name, on a transparent mandate: the factory invoices you for the goods, Sorva invoices its commission.
  • Inspections and delivery arrangements, within the scope agreed on the file.
  • A tapering rate: the higher your volumes, the lower the commission.
  • One named contact at Sorva, from scoping through to delivery.
Not included
  • What the factory charges for goods and samples: the factory invoices you direct, we never touch it.
  • Carriage, customs duties and import taxes.
  • Any refund of the opening fee if you do not place an order: it is kept.
  • Compliance and feasibility studies, which are ordered separately.
What you send us
  • The product you want, its destination country and the quantities you have in mind.
  • Your target price, even roughly.
  • Your constraints: lead time, certification, marking, packaging.
  • A drawing, a photograph or a link to a comparable product, if you have one.
After payment

    Acknowledgement, and the list of what we still need to start.

    The written scope, the first list of candidate factories and their price range.

    At the meeting

    We settle which factories to push, and the commission rate is set in writing.

    Negotiation, samples, the order placed in your name, then inspections and delivery as agreed.

  • You order regularly and you would rather pay on results than on a flat fee.
  • You want to change factory without committing a support budget before you have seen a price.
  • You do not yet know whether your product can be made at your price, and you want to find out quickly.

Frequently asked

01Why is there an opening fee?
Because the first stretch of work is real: scoping your requirement, searching for factories, opening the first negotiation. The fee pays for that. It is settled online and the file opens the same day.
02Is it refundable?
No. If you do not place an order it is kept: the work was done and you keep what it produced. If you do order, it comes off our first commission.
03How is the commission worked out?
It runs from 6 to 12% of the ex-works value of the goods we have negotiated for you. The rate is set in writing before the order and comes down as your volumes grow. It is our only compensation on these engagements: no hidden margin on the factory price.
04Who invoices what?
We work on a transparent mandate: the factory invoices you for the goods, at its price, and Sorva invoices you for its commission. You see both amounts, kept apart.
